What Are The Benefits Of A Partial Truck Load?

Q: What are the benefits of a partial truck load?

A: A partial truckload is a freight mode for large shipments that may not require the use of a full truckload trailer. This falls between LTL and full truckload, typically involving shipments of over 5,000 pounds or 6 or more pallets. A major benefit of a partial truckload is that only one truck is involved in the shipment and the freight is only loaded and handled one time between the shippers' dock and the consignees door. Additionally, you are paying only for the space you use on the truck and not the entire truck which could have empty or unusable space. Using this mode of transport for airport and CFS pickups also has many benefits, as sending an LTL carrier in to pickup freight at an airport is very difficult, but it is 100% practical for a partial truckload trucker as they dedicated to your freight.
